Diverse Users. Targeted Strategies.
Route 53 serves diverse personas, from corporate power users to small business owners. By analyzing user categories, I prioritized personas and tailored strategies, ensuring a targeted and impactful experience across the platform.
User Insights. Better Education.
User interviews showed small to medium customers paid for unnecessary features, while larger customers developed overlapping functionalities unknowingly. This highlighted the need for better product education in the console, ensuring informed decisions and optimized experiences for all customers.
Redefined Architecture. Enhanced Usability.
I led the redefinition of Route 53’s information architecture with the product and engineering teams. We assessed usability and navigation challenges, identifying key pain points. This laid the foundation for reimagining the console to better address user needs and enhance usability. Shown is the updated user flow for the Hosted Zones feature.
Redesigned Experience. Improved Functionality.
I led the redesign of Route 53 with our product team, development team, and technical writer to enhance usability and functionality. The development team rebuilt the hosted zones feature using modern frameworks, launching the new design in early 2020 after rigorous testing.
